'Beasts' by Krišjānis Zeļģis gets Translated into Catalan
We are ushering in 2019 with some great translation news. Latvian poet Krišjānis Zeļģis, who was part of the Parthian Baltic series with his memorable collection Beasts, has been translated to Catalan. Bèsties is now available from Curbet Edicions.
New Biography of Irish Language Poet Sean O Riordain
One of Parthian's values is promoting quality works in translation. The translation process inherently involves the best type of collaboration between author, translator and publisher. An excellent recent example of this process is the new biography of Sean O Riordain, an Irish-language poet who reached prominence in the 20th century.

Throughout the summer, we've seen Gary Raymond’s new suspense novel The Golden Orphans get a great reception from reviewers and readers alike. First Thursday also features guests Elizabeth Parker reading from her debut poetry collection, In Her Shambles (Seren 2018), and Poet/Novelist Christopher Meredith reading from his new short story collection, Brief Lives (Seren 2018).
