Parthian Named Country Finalist for Small Press of the Year #Nibbies
We're thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for the British Book Awards Small Press of the Year - alongside a 44 strong shortlist of the best of UK indie presses. We couldn't be prouder to be flying the flag for indie publishing in Wales, alongside the wonderful Firefly Press and New Welsh Review.
Ironopolis longlisted for the Portico Prize
Glen James Brown’s epic Northern novel is on a roll this year, with another prestigious longlisting – this time The Portico Prize. Having recently made it onto the shortlist of the inaugural Orwell Prize for Political Fiction, we’re thrilled to see Ironopolis gaining even more much-deserved praise.
Parthian Wins Nibbie for Small Press of the Year (Wales Region)
On 13th March, it was announced that Parthian had won the British Book Award for Small Press of the Year for the Wales region. It turned a good day at the London Book Fair into an excellent one.
Cheval 11 Launched at the Terry Hetherington Young Writers Awards!
Last night at the Dylan Thomas Centre, the late Neath poet Terry Hetherington was honoured once more. The evening featured readings from 25 young poets and writers, all of which are featured in Cheval 11. The ceremony marks the culmination of the £1000 prize which took submissions from all over the UK.
Hummingbird wins at 2018 Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards
On Thursday, 1 February, Tristan Hughes’s new novel Hummingbird was honoured with the ‘Fiction with a Sense of Place’ award at the 2018 Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards. Tristan’s novel, set in northern Canada, is an immersive story, one in which its setting transcends its normal function.
