This month we're releasing a new Library of Wales version of Rachel Trezise's award winning debut novel, In and Out of the Goldfish Bowl, so Rachel is our Author of the Month.   About Rachel: Born in the Rhondda valley in 1978, Rachel is an award-winning author and playwright. She graduated in Journalism and English in 2000 - the same year that Goldfish Bowl was published. By Parthian intern Julia Bradley   This past weekend, I was lucky enough to be invited along on a Parthian trip up to Scotland, alongside Maria and Shona. The purpose of the trip was to attend the Edinburgh International Book Festival (12-28th August) and to support author Ece Temelkuran in promoting her book Women Who Blow on Knots. The Rhondda Book Fair 2017 is fast approaching, and this year Parthian's Richard Davies, Sion Tomos Owen, and Rachel Trezise will be attending. The fair, organised by Colin R. Parsons (children's and Young Adult fiction author), will see a lineup of twenty-five authors from different genres attending, with the opportunity to buy books and have them signed. The annual PENfro Book Festival has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2011, returning this year for the seventh time from 7th -10th September. As his debut novel, Bad Ideas\Chemicals, was released last month, Lloyd Markham is our Author of the Month for August.   About Lloyd: Lloyd was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, before he and his family moved and settled in Bridgend, South Wales.
