Parthian Intern Molly Holborn Publishes Children's Book with Y Lolfa

One of our guiding principles at Parthian is to prepare a new generation of publishers. Molly Holborn interned with us earlier this year, and it was clear she had the skill set and work ethic to excel in publishing. Turns out, Molly she was also concerned in shaping the next generation...

Moonbeam's Arctic Adventure is her first children's book which is co-authored with her grandfather, David Morgan Williams. The book is set in Cardigan Bay with two bottlenose dolphins who hear a distress signal coming from the north. They follow it to find a giant iceberg holding two helpless Inuit children, then band together with their friends to restore the children to safety.

Molly said of writing the book:

My grandfather and I have a mutual concern about global warming so we decided to write a book to inspire young minds to change the world, as they are the next generation. We’ve brought in some unusual and endangered animals as our characters to inform and educate our readers as well as to give them an adventure.

We're excited to see our colleagues at Y Lolfa add Molly to their authorial ranks. It's an example of Welsh publishing at its best. You can purchase Moonbeam's Arctic Adventure from Y Lolfa here. You can also follow Molly on Twitter at @molly_holborn.
