This Friday, 6 April, Wales Arts Review editor and Parthian author Gary Raymond is premiering a new show on BBC Radio Wales called The Review Show. The programme will take an in-depth look at a multitude of Welsh culture, including film, theatre, literature, and art.
The show is another step toward cultivating a community of critique, debate, and genuine engagement with the creative community of Wales. Gary Raymond told the Wales Arts Review how he wants guests to 'get under the surface of a piece of work and rummage inside.' The guests each week will provide a panel of experts who will give each episode its own flavour, while maintaining the consistent ethos of high quality arts critique.
The first episode, airing this Friday at 6:30 pm on BBC Radio Wales, will feature Dr Carrie Smith and Charles Williams reflecting on Kyffin Williams' current exhibition, Owen Sheers' The Green Hollow, and the Manic Street Preachers' new album.
Gary Raymond, author of this summer's new release The Golden Orphans, has fostered a relevant, regular discussion of Welsh culture through Wales Arts Review. The Review Show will be one more way for him to push the narrative forward, and we are excited to see its evolution.
