All Come to Dust: Outstanding Fiction!
The Zimbabwean writer Bryony Rheam has added to her list of accolades by being awarded the Zimbabwean National Arts Merit Award in the category Outstanding Fiction. The award is for her novel All Come to Dust, which was initially published in Zimbabwe before being co-published by Parthian Books and amaBooks in the UK. The National Arts Merit Awards are the premier award given by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe in recognition of outstanding achievements in the arts and culture. Ward Nine: Coronavirus
Alys Morgan met Teresa Carberry, director of Mold Bookfest, and Caroline Johnson, manager of The Bookshop Mold, on Saturday, to sign copies of her memoir Ward Nine: Coronavirus. The Bookshop Mold has been shortlisted for Independent Bookshop of the Year in Wales. Signed copies of Ward Nine: Coronavirus are available in store. Ward Nine: Coronavirus – Alys Morgan returns to the hospital that saved her life
Two years after she was admittted to Ward Nine of a north Wales Hospital with Coronavirus in April 2020, author Alys Morgan made an emotional return to Ward Nine, to thank staff there for their wonderful care of her, to present them with an autographed copy of Ward Nine: Coronavirus, and the chocolates she meant to give them two years ago!
