"Powerful and challenging... neki / nazromi / diolch!" Ifor ap Glyn, National Poet of Wales
I, Eric Ngalle, read by Eric Ngalle, is the memoir of a migrant. Ngalle left Cameroon as a 17 year old full of hope, with a scholarship to study economics at a university in Belgium. Scammed by the agent who was supposed to help him, he ended up in Moscow, without visa, money or friends, where he spent two terrifying years before arriving – miraculously, through a series of extraordinary chances and knife edge choices – in the UK and settling in Cardiff. I, Eric Ngalle reminds us powerfully that the migrant's voice challenges our assumptions and worldview in uncomfortable but necessary ways.
