Ebooks launched next week

Our latest batch of ebooks are due to be launched through the first week of August, and we've got some lovely titles on the list!

Ahead of its print publication on 1st September, Riverwise: Meditations on Afon Teifi by Jack Smylie Wild is coming out on August 1st. It's been described by Neil Ansell as 'thoughtful and hypnotic' and by Iolo Williams as 'an intimate glimpse in prose and poetry by a man with a profound understanding of his subject'.

Also on 1 August Saints and Lodgers: Poems of W.H. Davies will be released on ebook. Selected and with an introduction by Jonathan Edwards, this collection demonstrates how Davies emerges as a poet of people, who never turns away from the suffering or the beauty of the saints and lodgers among whom he lives.

Next week The Web of Belonging by Stevie Davies will be available on ebook. Described by Helen Dunmore as 'a comic novelist of the highest order', Davies lays bare the interior of a marriage and the dreaded in-laws in ruthlessly witty yet tender prose.

As an exclusive, ahead of its print publication with Parthian next year, we're thrilled to be launching The Cormorant by Stephen Gregory on ebook next week. This chilling, beautiful book won the Somerset Maugham award when it was first published in the 1980s and was described by The New York Times as '"a first-class terror story with a relentless focus that would have made Edgar Allan Poe proud"'.

Happy reading to you all!
