In 2022, Parthian will be publishing an anthology of writing about places and travels, written by contemporary Welsh and Wales-based authors. Today we announce an open call for expressions of interest. Those selected for publication will receive a payment of £300 each.
Open Call for Expressions of Interest:
Submissions are invited for an anthology of unpublished travel/place writing by Welsh and Wales-based writers, An Open Door, to be edited by Steven Lovatt and published by Parthian. All forms of creative non-fiction are welcome: travelogue, diary, memoir, etc. Send a 300–500-word proposal and/or a 500–1000-word sample and a 30-word biography to stevenlovatt@hotmail.com. Closing date for proposals 31 July 2021.

Steven Lovatt is the author of Birdsong in a Time of Silence (Particular Books, 2021), and over the last decade his critical articles on Welsh literature have been published in New Welsh Review, Planet, Critical Survey and the AWWE Yearbook, among other places. Steven is currently researching his second book, on the Severn/Hafren.
